🍪 Calling All Girl Scouts: Help Us Support Your Cookie Sales

(and Our Cookie Cravings!)

Parents, guardians, troop leaders, and cookie bosses of Metro Atlanta, I need your help! It’s officially Girl Scout Cookie Season, which means our community is buzzing with Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, and the irresistible sound of “Would you like to buy some Girl Scout Cookies?” And honestly, Yes, we would.  Repeatedly. Enthusiastically. With zero hesitation.

This year, I want to spotlight every amazing Girl Scout in our community and help boost their cookie sales while also satisfying our own cookie cravings (purely for research purposes, of course).

🍪 How to Get Your Girl Scout Featured

If you have a Girl Scout who is selling cookies, send us the following via email to KimberlyWright@MacaroniKID.com.

  • Her first name and last initial
  • Her troop number
  • Her cookie link (so families can order directly!)
  • The date her cookie sales end

I will  compile all submissions into a fun, community‑wide feature so families can support local troops, and so we can all stock up before the season ends and we are left staring longingly at empty cookie boxes unless you were smart enough to freeze some like me.

🍪 Why I Am Doing This

Because my connection to the Girl Scouts runs deep, this celebration means so much to me.

  • Because I was a Girl Scout myself, at the former Union Baptist and those experiences contributed to who I am.
  • Because most of the women in my family were Girl Scouts, carrying the legacy forward with pride from Brownies to Girl Scouts/Juniors to Cadettes etc.
  • Because Girl Scouts work hard, showing dedication, leadership, and heart in everything they do.
  • Because being a Girl Scout builds character, confidence, and a readiness to face today's world prepared.
  • Because Jai Ferrell, the first African American and person of color to serve as CEO of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, grew up in the same church community I did at Lindsey Street Baptist Church.
  • Because parents work even harder, supporting their daughters and helping them embrace the mission of Girl Scouts.
  • Because Dr. Gloria Randle Scott, the first African American president of the Girl Scouts in 1975, was also my Bennett College President, which was a full-circle moment of pride.
  • Because Girl Scout Cookies are delicious, joyful, and a tradition we all look forward to each year.

And because nothing brings a community together like supporting our girls and sharing a sleeve of Thin Mints straight from the freezer.

🍪 How to Submit

Just send the info to KimberlyWright@MacaroniKID.com, and I will take care of the rest!

Let’s make this the biggest, sweetest, most cookie‑filled season yet and cheer on every Girl Scout out there learning, growing, and selling with confidence.

Now… who else suddenly wants a Samoas break? Do tell!
